NBC Interviews - L. Goldstein w/ M. Varn (G), C. Ramsey (P), R. Yacco (P), D. Eshleman (G), Eshleman & Ramsey, Carlo Prescott

Not long after the experiment ended I was one of five participants invited to return to campus and be interviewed by the NBC news magazine, Chronolog.  This was the network’s short-lived version of a show similar to CBS’ 60 minutes.

Since interviews used expensive film in those days, the producer asked me several questions before the camera started rolling.  He seamed pleased with my responses, so the filmed interview began.  Soon into the process I realized from his reactions that my answers were not what he was expecting.

When the edited story appeared on Chronolog in fall 1971, I was the only one whose none of my interview responses were included.

Why do you think none of my comments were included in the edited story?

After the interviews were filmed, transcript pages were created.

Below are page links to the transcript of Rich’s unused Chronolog interview.
